Times and Seasons Belong To Our God !

A couple of weeks ago , I couldn’t get the phrase “Times and seasons” out of my head.

Times and seasons , what ?! What does that even mean?!Sometimes God speaks to me that way. He will give me a certain phrase and then I’m left to go on a scavenger hunt to figure out what this means.
One of the scriptures that came about in my hunt is Ecclesiastes 3:1,” For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.”
When I saw this scripture , Holy Spirit reminded of a sermon I heard more than a year  ago. The sermon spoke about the four seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. The preacher (Devon Franklin) said that every season is necessary for the next. You need fall to prepare for winter .(you know the leaves need to be off from the trees for winter).You also can’t rush the fall to go by faster or rush spring to go by faster it all has its appointed time and appointed duration.

& Each season is beautiful in it’s own way.
HMM.. Interesting.
This example relates to our life’s seasons. Sometimes we want to rush through a season but we forget that there is something God wants us to get out of this season.
Have you asked God what he wants out of you this season?

And I know . I know . I know. It’s frustrating.. Sometimes it feels like we’ve been in the same season for years but God says continue to be faithful and diligent where you are at.
Galatians 6:9 “ And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Indeed Times and seasons belong to our God! He knows when is the time to make your winter turn into spring. He knows the exact time to get you out of your wilderness. He knows the appointed day for your business to go viral. He knows the exact time for you to enter into the right room with right people connected our destiny. He knows the exact season to get you as they say “ from overlooked to overbooked” or to “ take you from the back of the line to the front of the line”. (I know these are Real Talk Kim sayings Lol)
But Listen !! God, wants to get the glory out of your situation and he knows the perfect time and season to do so.
“ God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” Psalms 18:30
But on the other hand, sometimes our actions can prolong our seasons. Murmuring , complaining, ungratefulness, selfish ambition, sin, no repentance etc.*Face palm* *sigh*
Let’s continue to pray for God to reveal any of the things that we may be doing , that are prolonging/delaying our seasons.
“ You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13

So this whole blog wasn’t a , “How to get to my promised land?” or “How to succeed?” but to tell you to lean on God and trust him with the times and seasons in your life because they belong to him.
Ask him.. What do you want me to focus on this season ? What do you want me to learn here? What strategies do I need to learn in this season that will help me in my *_____* season?

He could be telling you its time to rest or its time to build. Who knows? But I know its always the  time  and season to grow in relationship with God. It’s also always the season to increase our SEEK .If you always pray for 5 minutes , how about now you try to pray for 7 mins ? or if you always read one scripture a day , how about you start reading two scriptures..
