The Ugly Truth

Did you know that God can handle your truth?
Yes. Your ugly truth.
The truth of how you feel about yourself.
The truth of how you feel about your life.
The truth of how you don’t want to forgive that person.
The truth of how you’re mad at God for situations he allowed to happen.
The truth of how your scared of the future even though you know he is God.

Yes. He can handle it

& surprise! He already knows how you feel.

This morning , as I prayed I found myself apologizing to God about how I felt.

I kept saying , “I’m so sorry. I feel this way. “

I felt like my feelings weren’t of a mature Christian. They weren’t feelings of someone who had put their hope and faith in Jesus.

Even in my shame I kept remembering the scripture ,”Cast your cares on him for he cares for you. “ 1 Peter 5:7

This was the truth that kept repeating in my head, He cares for me !

So today as you’re reading this I want to encourage you to cast your cares on HIM for he cares for you.

Your cares could be as small as not wanting to go to work tomorrow or as big as praying for a sickness to go away.

God cares and sees you. He is for you not against you. There’s nothing you can say or do that will make him love you less. He can handle it !

Romans 8:38-39 New International Version (NIV)
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
